Guest Profile: Atherton Drenth
Atherton Drenth is the author of Intuitive Dance. Building, Protecting & Clearing Your Energy, (Llewellyn Worldwide) and Following Body Wisdom. She is also a contributing author to the Amazon Best Selling book, “365 Moments of Grace.” She is a clairvoyant and medical intuitive, who has been in private practice for over 16 years.
Atherton’s journey to understanding that there was a way to use her innate intuitive abilities to help others took a rather unusual, if not, circuitous path. Raised by parents who had eclectic views on parenting, she was raised to believe that a woman should know her own mind and pursue her own dreams. When she was a teenager she became curious about the spiritual side of life. Atherton asked her mother, a student of Theosophy, to tutor her in meditation as well as spiritual, metaphysical and eastern religious concepts and philosophies.
Atherton eventually pursued a career in science as a Medical Technologist where she worked in several hospitals and private laboratories for ten years. After which she transitioned into the corporate world where she held various management positions. After a near death experience as a result of a medical misdiagnosis, Atherton began a journey into a world of healing she barely knew existed. A young healer, who saved her life, recognized her intuitive abilities and urged her to train with him.
Immersing herself into the mysterious world of energy medicine, Atherton discovered that her clairvoyant ability, which was so natural to her, could be used to assist others on their own healing journey. Her childhood upbringing along with her background in laboratory science and life experiences came full circle.
Atherton has been extensively trained and certified as a Medical Intuitive and Holistic Energy Practitioner. She has been in private practice since 2000 and has personally conducted over 35,000 healing balances on clients from around the world. She is also the owner of the Paradigm Centre for Wellness, an integrative health care centre.
Atherton has been featured on several radio shows, is a guest blogger at Ask Dr. Nandi and is a regular contributing editor for the Paradigm Pages Newsletter. She also appears in the documentary, Voyage to Betterment, as one of 12 experts along with other internationally renowned physicians, researchers, and pioneers in the fields of consciousness research and spirituality.
